The Problem
This customer needed a roof to match the several accented colors on his home. The high end home was constructed with bronze counterflashing, a metal front roof, and a very light pink brick. The customer planned on being in the home forever, so the highest quality shingle was requested.
The Solution
The customer had used a referred Bird’s Eye Roofing on several occasions before and was highly confident the roof would meet his extremely high quality standards. CertainTeed Landmark Weathered Wood was recommended as the red granules would complement the brick, and the grayish granules would work with the bronze counterflashing. The customer contracted for the work.
Results
The customer’s original roof was removed down to the bare decking. All debris was removed promptly, and rotten decking replaced. The decking was then covered with synthetic underlayment and drip edge to make it water tight.
All flashing was replaced, including step, counter, and chimney. This would ensure the highest quality installation standards, and make the roof last a lifetime.
The CertainTeed Landmark Weathered Wood shingles were installed in the stair step pattern to meet manufacturer guidelines. From there, the ridge vent and hips were sealed with high quality CertainTeed Shadowridge Hip and Ridge shingles.
The customer was very happy with his Alpharetta roof replacement project, and looks to enjoy his lifetime roof!
